Division Overview

A – Prefabricated Pre-Finished Volumetric Construction (PPVC)

B – Prefabricated Bathroom Units (PBU)

C – ARC Wall (Lightweight Walls)

D – Specialized Precast Components

E – Colored Precast Facades

F – Pigmented Glass Fibre Reinforced Product (GFRC)

What is Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC)?

It means a construction method whereby free-standing volumetric modules (complete with finishes for walls, floors and ceilings) are made of multiple units complete with internal finishes, fixtures and fittings are manufactured in factories, and are then transported to site for installation in a Lego-like manner.

What are the Benefits of Using PPVC?

PPVC is one of the game changing technologies that support the Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA), concept to significantly speed up construction. It can potentially achieve a productivity improvement of up to 50% in terms of manpower and time savings, depending on the complexity of the projects.

Furthermore, dust and noise pollution can be minimised as more activities are done off-site. With the bulk of the installation activities and manpower moved off-site to a factory controlled environment, site safety will also improve.

Pre-fabricated Bathroom Unit (PBU)

What is a Prefabricated Bathroom Unit (PBU)?

A prefabricated bathroom unit refers to a bathroom unit preassembled off-site complete with finishes, sanitary wares, concealed pipes, conduits, ceiling, bathroom cabinets, shower screen and fittings before installing in position.

What are the benefits of using PBUs?

By shifting most of the fabrication work and wet trades off-site to the controlled environment of a factory, PBUs can yield both time and manpower savings by about 60%. Downtime can be minimised as production of PBUs can continue even during times of inclement weather. Furthermore, there is a better control of both materials and the prefabrication process, resulting in higher quality finishes and lesser wastage.
